Collaboration with Jeep Collins…

   I first met with Jeep Collins in the spring of 2002. Located in the hill country of Texas, Jeep has been making and designing jewelry for over 30 years. We discussed the concept and meaning of the starfish with the bent and curved arm and what it signified to women who were dealing with an altered body image. As Jeep pointed out, there are many of life's experiences and personal challenges that leave us feeling bent and curved like the arm of the starfish.
   He warmly embraced the idea and several pieces were designed for the 2002 Fall/Winter catalog. The page layout was beautiful. The actual starfish was used in the photo shoot.
   Jeep has been so generous and wonderful to work with. It has truly been a blessed endeavor.
